Each year Vivid Sydney sets the stage for a festival of light and music, which transforms Sydney into a large scale works of art over 23 days, which is magical with grand-scale projections, light art sculptures and light installations in unexpected places.
The best way to see it is by foot and public transport.
You get to see the iconic landmarks of Sydney illuminated in brilliant colour, including the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Customs House, as well as Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour and Vivid has now been expanded into other popular areas: Luna Park, Barangaroo and Chatswood.
Part of the experience is to enjoy the amazing light display by doing The Light Walk, which stretches for more than two kilometres (1.2 miles) from The Rocks to the Sydney Opera House and through the Royal Botanic Gardens. You will find many of the light installations are interactive, which can add up to hours of fun to your visit.
Vivid also includes big -ticket music performances, creative conferences, workshops and talks.
